The Canadian HIV/AIDS Legal Network and the Canadian AIDS Society will be hosting an event this Monday, February 6th at Ottawa City Hall to shed light on the criminalization of HIV exposure and non-disclosure. We would like to pass along this invitation to attend a documentary film screening and expert panel discussion to all students interested in attending this event. This event is free and held to coincide with two upcoming landmark appeals (R v Mabior and R v DC) to the Supreme Court of Canada on February 8th, on the criminal law’s application in HIV exposure cases.

Please visit the Canadian HIV/AIDS Legal Network for more information on this criminalization issue.

Register for the event at http://stopcriminalization.eventbrite.com

HIV is like a loaded gun. Anyone who fails to disclose is attempting murder and should be so charged. No excuses. It is assualt of the most serious nature.
