The Carleton University Legal Studies Society (CULSS) is pleased to announce that the Department of Law and CULSS will be hosting the Right Honourable Beverley McLachlin, Chief Justice of Canada on January 31st at 2:30pm.
The event is part of the Department of Law’s Chet Mitchell Lecture Series and will take place in the new River Building (2nd Floor Atrium Theatre). This lecture series invites leading academics and public figures to consider the law in its broader political, social and cultural context. Chief Justice McLachlin will be speaking on “The Relationship between the Courts and the Media.”
A Q&A period will follow the speech and there will be a reception after the event. The lecture is open to the public, but seating will be limited and is available only on a first-come, first seated basis. This is sure to be a spectacular event and we hope to see you all there.
