Welcome to the new home of the Carleton University Legal Studies Society!

CULSS unites students in the Department of Law (whether undergraduate or graduate) though anybody who’s interested in what we do can join us. We offer a lot of great events and resources, so check out our site and please contact us if there is anything that we can help you with.

Attention new First Year Students!

Welcome to Carleton University! The next three or four years are yours to do whatever you want with and if you're about to start a BA Law at Carleton you've made a great choice on how to start. One of the best things about law at Carleton is the flexibility and opportunity that it provides.

In your first year you'll take an introduction to legal studies course and be given the chance to pick elective courses from whatever other subjects you're interested in. In your upper years you'll study whatever areas of the law you want to learn about -- you might pick a concentration, a minor or even a second major! The point is that it's completely up to you.

CULSS is here to make your time at Carleton more successful, hopefully a bit easier and definitely a lot more fun! Whether you want to finish your degree and then head straight out in to the workforce, or whether you're considering law school or a grad degree, we can help you reach your goals while also giving you a chance to make great friends and lasting, useful connections. Our focus is on students in the Department of Law, but anybody who's interested is more than welcome to join us.

Explore our website for more info and feel free to contact us if we can help you with anything.
